Khadi - Fabric of India' Exhibition at MGCATTM, Siem Reap

To commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Embassy of India is organizing 'Khadi - Fabric of India' Exhibition at Mekong Ganga Cooperation Asian Traditional Textlies Museum (MGCATTM), Siem Reap from 12th to 14th October, 2019. Exhibition has been inaugurated by Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Cambodia in the presence of H.E. Sun Senghourt, Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Industry and Handicraft, Kingdom of Cambodia, senior Government dignitaries, APSARA National Authority officials, Ambassadors and senior diplomats of MGC countries. Ambassador of India highlighted the importance of Khadi and its role in Mahatma Gandhi's life and Indian freedom struggle. She also mentioned its increasing demand in contemporary textiles and fashion industry worldwide. H.E. Sun Senghourt appreciated the effort being made to promote Khadi fabric and wished further cooperation in the textiles industry between the two countries, including sharing of best practices, technology and to diversify the local garment industry.
