71st Republic Day Reception

Ambassador of India, H.E Ms Manika Jain hosted the National Day reception on 24th January, 2020, on the occasion of the 71st Republic Day of India at the Raffles Hotel, Phnom Penh. H.E. Dr Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, Royal Government of Cambodia was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Around 250 people including several ministers, Members of National Assembly and Senate, Secretaries of State, other senior government officials from various ministries, members of diplomatic corps and members of Indian diaspora attended the reception. In her remarks, Ambassador of India highlighted the important aspects of India-Cambodia bilateral relations and also touched upon various developmental projects which are presently being undertaken by India in Cambodia. In her remarks H.E Dr. Phoeurng Sackona appreciated the assistance provided by India in various areas of bilateral cooperation. Smt Mohana Natarajan, Dance teacher in embassy gave Indian classical dance performance ‘A Journey to Raja Vihara’ explaining the architectural beauty of Ta Prohm Temple in Siem Reap.
