Embassy of India Celebrated International Women's Day

Embassy of India organized a Seminar on “Women, Education and Empowerment in 21st Century” on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2018. Event was attended by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Women’s Affair H.E. Mrs. Chan Serey as Chief Guest with other prominent speakers from diverse fields, heads of Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations in Cambodia and other prominent women achievers in their respective fields.

In addition to prominent women participants, the event was attended by many men participants engaged in the field of gender equality and women empowerment. Place of women in different societies during different times of past were highlighted along with their achievements and contribution in the growth story of entire world and creating a balanced society. Challenges ahead in the endeavour to achieve gender equality globally had been deliberated.

Fruitful discussion and exchange of views took place among all the participants on various issues relating to women upliftment and empowerment and their growing role in contemporary society.
