68th Independence Day of India, 15 August 2014

The 68th Independence Day of India was celebrated on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Embassy Residence in Phnom Penh where a large number of members of the Indian Community gathered in the morning, with patriotic fervour. H.E. Mr. Dinesh K. Patnaik, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Cambodia unfurled the national flag and read out the Address to the Nation by the Hon’ble President of India, His Excellency Shri Pranab Mukherjee, and then briefly addressed the gathering. He congratulated the members of the Indian community in Cambodia and thanked the many Cambodians who had conveyed good wishes on India’s Independence Day.
