Visit of Vice President of India to Cambodia

Vice President of India H.E. M. Hamid Ansari paid an official visit to Cambodia from 15-17 September 2015 at the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen. During the visit, he held talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and met Acting Head of State and President of Senate H.E. Say Chhum and President of the National Assembly H.E. Heng Samrin.

Two MoUs on promotion of tourism cooperation and implementation of Quick Impact Projects (QIP) under Mekong Ganga Cooperation Initiative were signed during the visit. Vice President announced continuation of conservation work at Ta Prohm temple, grant assistance for 5 QIP and increase in no. of ICCR scholarships from 17 to 25.

The Vice President and delegation also visited Siem Reap to see the world heritage sites of Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm Temples.
